The Ministry of Tourism, Environment and Culture hosted a live performance featuring cultural troupes from both Thailand and Lesotho on the 23rd August, 2017. The event was held in conjunction with the Ministries of Foreign Affairs from both countries and it was held to signify and strengthen good relations between the two kingdoms.
Senior Government officials including Honourable Ministers were present at the event, in particular the Deputy Prime Minister Honourable Monyane Moleleki also graced the event with his presence. On behalf of the people of Thailand, the ambassador for Thailand Mr Pornchai Danvivathana expressed his gratitude and acknowledged his appreciation for the support the people of Thailand received from his Majesty King Letsie 111 during their bereavement in the loss of their leader King Bhumibol Adulyadej in 2016. In her official speech, the Minister of Tourism, Environment and Culture, Honourable ‘Mamotsie Motsie also echoed the ambassadors’ sentiments about the importance of diplomatic relations between the two kingdoms and the benefits derived from such a friendship which include cultural exchanges, training courses and man more.
